I enjoyed Princess of the Midnight Ball, as it provided a romantic, adventurous and mysterious re-telling of the 12 Dancing Princesses. Princess of the Midnight Ball is a retelling of the twelve dancing princesses. Princess of Glass (Princess of the Midnight Ball) book download Download Princess of Glass (Princess of the Midnight Ball) It is the best book if you enjoy fantasy and fairy tales.. I've always been a fan of "The Twelve Dancing Princesses" as a story. To be honest, I'm not familiar with the original tale, so I can't tell you how much this version deviates. Princess of the Midnight Ball is the fairy-tale retelling of the German fairy-tale The Twelve Dancing Princesses. I have never heard of this fairy-tale until the Barbie version came out. I had checked the true fairy-tale since then. This skill plays an integral part in the story, fabric being a thing that can contain magical properties. That might be why I liked Princess of the Midnight Ball the most--because it's more classic, and yet still gives a good feel for what the book is about. The first one, Princess of the Midnight Ball, is my favorite of the three. It's about Princess Rose and the gardener, Galen, and is a spin-off of 'The Twelve Dancing Princesses'. The written version, sure, but also that episode of Faerie Tale Theatre* -- it was one of my ultra-faves (which is really saying something). Review: Princess of the Midnight Ball by Jessica Day George Rating: A sweet and easy fairy tale read with gorgeous imagery and a lovely romance. I am a collector of “The 12 Dancing Princesses” The original “12 Dancing Princesses” by the Grimm Brothers is well grim as is most of the stories that were never originally intended for children. I'm not big on Fantasy novels, and the covers are often loud or confusing. Princess of the Midnight Ball by Jessica Day George is a very eventful twist to the 12 Dancing Princesses Fairytale. The King's wife makes some very unusual deals with the King Under Stone.
